Small Dominates on mound in Game 5


Demi Small turned in another outstanding performance on the mound as he pitched for the Blue team in the 2012 Reno High Fall World Series. Small threw a dominating 5.2 innings and only allowed 3 hits and 2 runs. The Blue team was led offensively by their first three hitters in their lineup. Garret Hampson went 3 for 4 with 3 doubles, 4 runs scored, and 3 RBI. Kurt Hillson who is trying to catch Graham Macmillan in the Quality At-Bat Race, went 3 for 4 and also drove in a 3 runs. Third baseman, Austin Atkerson, continued his excellent play by going 3 for 5 at the plate. The black team showed some life as recently traded, Chip Bouchard, doubled and scored a run. Nick Cibula had two hits, and scored a run also. The final game of the world series starts today at 3pm with Connor Bush starting for the undefeated Blue team and Justin Watland starting on the mound for The Black team.
