Graybar, Bush, G. Hampson Lead Reds to 9-0 Win in Game 1


Alex Graybar pitched 5 dominant innings to start the 2010 Reno High Fall World Series. Graybar pitched very effectively as he displayed outstanding command with 5 strikeouts and 0 walks. He threw a total of 53 pitches in the 5 innings of work. R.J. Bush, the developing Brian Wilson type closer, shut the door on the Blues with two shutout innings. The Reds jumped out to a 2 run lead in the top of the 2nd inning with three doubles by Colton Hampson, Graham McMillan, and Nick Pappas. Garrett Hampson went 2 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI to go along with his outstanding defense. Kevin Wallace also went 2 for 4 with a double, a home run, and 3 RBIs. Zach Nyman went 2 for 3 for the Blue team with two singles. Alex Graybar and Garrett Hampson were named the Game MVP.
