Nyman, Warden lead Blues to Victory in Game 2, 12-2


Zach Nyman took control of his team in the Fall World Series. After a tough 9-0 loss in game 1, Nyman would not be denied in Game 2. The Blues jumped out with a 4 run inning in the top of the 1st inning off losing pitcher Colton Hampson. Nyman led off with a single, Grant Kukuk reached on an error, and Jeremy Peterson drove a single through the 5-6 hole, driving in a run. The Blue team broke the game open in the top of the 6th inning with a 5 run outburst. The Blues provided some good pitching by starter Grant Kukuk. Also, Max Keller turned in a dominating relief appearance during which he showed a good fastball and a nasty curveball. The Blue Team catcher Mitch Warden was also outstanding behind the plate providing great defense and leadership.
