Monsignor Pace keeps firm hold on No. 1 in Top 25 BELLA VISTA, AR-Unbeaten Monsignor Pace (FL) continued to hold a firm grip on the No. 1 position in the third regular-season BCA-Baseball America Top 25 rankings. Pace improved to 18-0 with seven victories, including four wins in capturing the Sarasota Classic. The only change in the first six places saw The Woodlands (TX) and Nova (FL) exchange places at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively. Riverside (SC) stayed at No. 2 with Wolfson (FL) fifth and California’s Rancho Bernardo sixth. Tomball (TX) jumped from 11th to No. 7 with Destrehan (LA) eighth. La Cueva (NM) and Farragut (TN) switched places at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively. La Cueva (12-0) was one of nine unbeaten teams in the Top 25, while Farragut (14-1) dropped a 5-4 game to rival Oakland for its first defeat. California’s St. Francis and Chatsworth climbed into the Nos. 12 and 13 spots on the basis of their 15-0 and 12-0 records. Heritage (CO) and Petal (MS) advanced to the 15th and 16th positions and Vestavia Hills (AL) made its first Top 25 appearance at No. 17. Unbeatens Reno (NV), La Quinta (CA), Bryant (AR), Edwardsville (IL) and Maize (KS) were five other newcomers.
